bank account

Hi
I am new to the forum but have found the wealth of information here both helpful and reassuring.
My question concerns the length of time it takes to set up a Co-op cash minder account.
If you apply by phone do you get an account number etc straight away or do you have to wait for it to be approved and get the info by post?

    Hi,

My boyfriend applied for one on the phone last thursday and they were very nice, they said to him was he aware that this account if for people who are BR and when he said Yes that he will be doing that they were really nice and said ok thats not problems you dont have to say anymore.
They asked him the normal personal details and asked details of his current bank account and also wanted to check if he was on the electoral role. They then processed it on the phone and told him he would receive details of his account in the post within 3-5 working days.

The number to call if you dont have it is 0845 602 7057 and the account is called a CO OP CASHMINDER ACCOUNT.

Good luck and hope you get it all sorted
