wanting to relocate... need advice

in I wanna buy it or do it
hi me n hubby have talked recently about relocating, we like around the barnstaple areas but we are open minded. we would like a place near the sea not a big town looking for the quiet life with. if possible these days low crime stats (unsure where to look for this info) has anyone got any ideas on where to start looking or any ideas on a lovely place near the sea?

    If you're of working age, wouldn't it be better to get a new job first and then look for nice places to live withing travelling distance?

    Im disabled hubby can move with his work so wouldnt be a problem but would like ideas on where to look for nice seaside or near them towns
