my best friend now lives 150miles away so I don't see her very often. I don't know anyone up here so that's why I spend so much time in here too! I feel really pathetic admitting that but at least this way I feel like I'm not completely alone all day

word of warning about pepsi - if you drink enough it stops you sleeping and makes you go for a wee every 17 and a half minutes lol

:rotfl:well at least that's less often than when I drink water!

Just asked OH and he said I can buy 12 cans at tesco tomorrow and he'll drink them but if I don't win from that I'm not aloud to buy any more as he couldn't drink them all!

sweetie pie and ikkle..hugs to you both, I'm new as well and don't post a massive amount (time reasons what with work and even occasionally trying to comp)..I started posting though cos it seems a lovely friendly place, and also even though I've lived here 6 years, I don't really have any friends around here..I met my partner a year into being here, fell pregnant in 6 months and was also trying to study at the same time, so it is generally just the 3 of us...I wouldn't change it, but miss girlie chats..it doesn't help my OH doesn't like my best friend since I was a child, so I don't really contact her anymore..

I must admit I'm struggling on the old motivation to comp at the moment..

That's the thing, I wont admit it to anyone. I feel really ashamed turning round and saying, 'I have no friends' it's not something you like to admit is it?! The thing is, I always had hundreds of friends, I was out all the time and one of the most soiciable people around, then just not. No idea why really, now I am practically a hermit :rotfl:

I am the same really, I used to live in London and had loads of friends, then I moved to Wales with OH and I don't really have 'friends' here only colleagues. I felt really isolated at first, but comping and chatting on here helps me to feel better. Recently OH's sister and her family have moved closer to us so we hang out with them a lot, that has helped too. My best friend (from London) moved to Australia a few years ago so mse is a bit of a godsend really
