Just scroll down to the bottom to the 'Display Options', select 'Thread start time' in the 'Sorted by' drop down menu, press 'Show Threads' and you'll end up with this. Threads don't get bumped up to the top when they get new posts that way.

i have moved over to ff after moving loads of things can peeps see this as i have a grey box for replies

I always do it this way. Sort as decribed by T--J, start from where I last finished and only new threads since that time will appear in the list. Any that may have been bumped will still be earlier in the list because it is sorted by the date of the OP. Threads like the regularly updated TAB ones, where I want to see new posts, I subscribe to with email notification.

Rose the reply box is grey hun. When you were posting the other night saying you could only see your own posts that was because only you were posting hun.

Korky, if you do the thread start time you wont have all the problems of bumped threads. I do comps as they are put on and then check end date and also have a window open where its the board on normal view so i can see if a comp gets bumped incase its someone needing help.
