I'll put up with it at £1.40 a bottle whatever, but purely for the medicinal benefit for my heart of course.
    Thanks again!

Thanks muchly - ordered a dozen for me, and a (different) dozen for the hubby :) Guess we'll have to wait and see whether or not we actually get both cases....as an aside, anyone looking to order now (6.30pm) - the £2.99 wines across the whole site are rapidly selling out. I had to add some £3.33 bottles to mine, meaning it's still a bargain (see the Secrets of Wine case below the one referred to in original post) as the voucher still went through all the same.

Incidentally, it does say on the site that you can't use vouchers against Secrets of Wine, but I picked some bottles from that case to make up my own case and it did still accept the voucher :)

Never received an order confirmation for my wife's order - maybe because her credit card has the same number as mine?

Hmmm, in my experience Virgin's 4 star rated wine is bearly drinkable plonk, so the 3 star stuff must be very dire.

Still a good find though if you're having a party or going to one.

ah for the price I paid I'll mix it with soda water or make sangria Blanco out of it. It will get drunk (and so will I probably lol)

Aha, I was watching Keith Floyd on TV the other day who stated "if wine's not good enough to drink, then it's not good enough to cook with"...but what does he know anyway?

Depends what you are making. If you are just adding a dash then it isn't so important. If you are making boeuf bourguignon then it makes a hell of a difference!

It must be said that Floyd has probably drunk more bottles of wine than you and I have had hot dinners.

Yeah, if anything has been well basted in wine it's Floyd's liver.
