help! any idea how it was made?

Options
i had a yummy lunch made for me today! it was spaghetti with finely sliced courgettes, mushrooms, onions, tomato and the odd carrot, and it smelled like a roast dinner while it was cooking, like stuffing  it had a very thin gravy/sauce which was a slightly orange colour and didnt seem oily but was very herby. i have no idea what it was called but it was one of the yummiest things i've ever eaten! does anyone have any idea how i can recreate it? sorry i know its all a bit vague... my step mum said it was a top secret recipe and wouldnt share
TIA

It maybe contained sage as that is a very "stuffing-y" smelling and tasting herb. Apart from that it sounds nice but like nothing I've ever tasted!!!!

How about slicing up your veg very thinly and just coating in a slick of olive oil and then roasting at a fairly high temp. Meanwhile, prepare some granule gravy and put the chopped herbs in that. When the veggies are roasted, put in the gravy and put back into the oven until hot. Pour over spaghetti.

    Might be worth a try

Is it top secret because it came out of a packet? or a tin??
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

  • Good luck! I can't understand people keeping recipes secret - to me it's a great compliment when someone enjoys what I've cooked - I ALWAYS give out recipes!! Please could a 'secret keeper' explain why they do it? I kind of understand when it's something which is given as gifts, like a Christmas cake, but I would still give it out myself.

Yeah why keep secrets unless your hiding something?

I keep lots of 'secrets' from the kids as I hide lots of veggies in their food but will always tell other people how I make something. It's a mystery to me too.

Good luck with your research though ;)
