Has anybody tried one of these, reviews on Argos dont sound too bad but dont give an idea how long it takes or how much it makes etc.
Having visited the summer fair at school this weekend i've decided i'd quite like to have a go at doing a stall at the xmas one - spurred on by finding an usbourne xmas cooking book I bought last year and never used. Was thinking to keep it simple, cheap and easy to store of making popcorn, candyfloss, cookies (lots of practice first :rotfl:) and peppermint creams etc and making the cellophane bags look pretty. We have a cake stall but no other food ones.
Fudge looks good but not convinced it will be as easy as shown in the book.
Any ideas for simple recipes (pref not cakes) would be appreciated as well as the best place to get the bags etc from.

i have a candyfloss maker, it is very easy to use, but you have to use dry powder colouring, but i didn't use any as i couldn't find where to buy it. It only takes 5-10 mins to warm up, then it ready to use. A small amount of sugar goes quite a long way, about 3-4 sticks worth. But it's a nightmare to clean after.
As for fudge, i use this recipe:
500g dark choc
75g butter
400g condensed milk
1/2tsp vanilla essence
break choc and melt in a pan with butter and con milk.
Heat gently, stirring till melted. Remove from heat and add flavouring.
Beat for a few minutes till mixture thickens.
Pour into a lined tray 7x9, and fridge till set.
It is gorgeous!!
I get my bags from ebay.If you’re British in the living room, what are you in the bathroom? European!0
