Missed CC payemt and mortgage applications

The other half has just realised she missed a credit card payment while we were on holiday. The thing is, we're in the middle of a mortgage application with Abbey of all companies. The first credit checks were fine, and they've asked for a few more documents that we have supplied. Is the missed payment likely to harn our case now? Is there anything we can do?

when you say a 'missed' payment, did your wife never pay or did she just pay late? if so, this has less of an effect on your credit score than an entirely missed payment. also, your credit file is only updated once a month and so the missed/late payment may not even show up in time. to be honest, i don't believe it will have much of an impact on your application, and as others have said most lenders only credit check you once so you should be fine.2011 wins: £481Eleventh Heaven: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 110
