To revise my ditty:
'I love your shop, yor staff, your stuff: so please - just send my butt.
I'll send my cheque, you send my tank: the case can then be shut'0 -
Hi all,
I forgot to mention earlier, I was in the B&Q at Trafford last night and they had loads of kitchen cupboard doors and things on sale. Brand new in boxes all priced up at 10p each. Talking to one of the SA's she was saying they quite often put silly prices on items to get shut of them.
I wonder what the discount rate works out at to sell them all at 10pIt's not just about the money0 -
From TS:
If you get offered what was ordered then you have been placed back to your original position.
Why would you then decline??
Lynsey
Technically B&Q are not offering to fulfil the original contract, they are offering to supply the goods under a new one. I guess it depends how worked up you are about B&Q saying there was no stock, when evidently there is and accusing customers of knowingly ordering a misprice. Some people may want to have those issues addressed by a judge and they have every right to press for that.0 -

So are they offering to supply at the original price of £1498 or at the sale price of £50 ?0 -
^ i would not reply to that, but instead wait until the day in court to do so..0

This, it seems to me, a newbieon this site I admit, it what it all comes down to. I want the water tanks, I don't want the money, I'm not out to harm B & Q. If they have learned - and I really hope they have - that buyers like me ordered, in good faith, goods they really need and that we are truly disappointed and disillusioned when B&Q's systems failed and buyers were treated with distain and contempt - well, that's enough for me. Their terms and conditions have changed. Whoever was in charge of the web-site has been hauled over the coals (I hope, as they should have learnt their lessons), but the innocent (like me) will, I hope, be recompensed in full with the product they ordered. Those who hoped for cash - well, they can take a separate path...
I only hope that B&Q are not going to offer the product to only those who took the legal route. I'm sure there are many who waited to see, and hope that the company has some residual decency to look at correspondence and send offers of the product ordered out to the many who waited in the belief that the company would ultimately come good.0 -
but the offer says 'for the price originally advertised on DIY.com'
weren't they originally advertise at £1498 each ?
sorry if I am being really dumb here !0 -

I would take that as being the price "Before" the offer was made ie £1498 etcIt's not just about the money0 -
Didn't emails go out when they were cancelled to offer them at the more expensive price ? or was that for something else ?It's not just about the money0
