Hi there,

Does anyone know of any general auction/antique auction houses in the East Northants/Rutland/Cambs etc area? We live in Oundle and are looking to go to get some bits and pieces (eg silverware, furniture). A friend in Suffolk has got loads of bits and pieces from their local one, but I don't know where to start round here!

Thanks in advance.
Vicky

    Hi,

Batemans in Stamford have an auction on the first Saturday of each month.
Richardsons in Bourne is good plus you can view online.
Oakham has an auction centre, think the name of auctioneer is Jeff Dale.

Google all 3 for more info.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

there is an auction house in Northamption called Harp's Auctions. I think they chare 10% on sales. Not sure of the number though but it might be worth looking for them on the net.

    Good Luck

    Hi vicky

The auction house in oundle has a sale about once a month I think, goldsmiths window, on the square.
Wilfords in Wellingborough is also quite good.

I normally walk straight past it due to the price of houses in the window! I'll have to take a look next time I walk past. :)
