Divorcing with negative equity help please!

My partner and I are looking to seperate but are a bit stuck as to what to do as we are 20k in negative equity, and neither of us can afford to pay the mortgage independantly, have absolutely no idea what to do! btw we have one child who will be living with the mother if that is of use in reply!

Would the one who has the child living with them want to continue to live there? Have they agreed on maintenance payments and checked what the tax credit entitlements would be as a single parent? Check www.entitledto.co.uk
