hmm, obviously its tampax which is 'pearl' then. But I did get an email yesterday to say that lil-lets were going to be £1 in asda and 2 for £2.49 in superdrug.
Maybe they are both on offer :Tnow has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -
Saw the advert for these on tv last night and was so pleased they have finally made it to the UK. Happened to buy a box of them in September 2007 when I was in New York on holiday - I'd never seen them before but loved them (if it is possible to "love" a tampon ). Ever since returning, I have been wishing I could find them over here. Well, it nearly took 2 years but here they are finally :j
Thanks to OP for the tip. I was assuming Tesco (which is where I normally shop) would have them on special offer but unfortunately they seemed to have them only at the normal £2.99 per box price, so I guess a little trip to Asda is on my cards for tomorrow0 -
what is so special about them?0

I've always been unable to use non-applicator tampons (I am unable to push them in ) and hate the cardboard applicator tampons (cardboard always goes soft on me). That has pretty much left me with Tampax Compak, which has a plastic applicator but as mentioned, the tampons tend to slide down during the course of the day. For me, Tampax Pearl is an improved version of Tampax Compak.
This is just my personal opinion, of course. I am sure loads of other women probably don't think they are that special - and I just have very fussy "woman parts" :rotfl:0 -
omg i must tell my girlfreind about these
thanks hun xxx0 -

However, using them I found them more comfortable than any other tampons I have used. The plastic material the applicator is made off is really smooth so they go in really easily, and the tampons themselves come out easily (ie no yanking or dragging feeling that I get sometimes with other tampons ), yet while they are inserted, they stay in place and don't move or slide down (am I the only one who keeps having to push the tampons back up every 3 hours )

thanks for this, just a aside they are much more comfortable and easier to insert i found if you "fray" the underside a bit by pulling the string from side to side beforehand, and less likely to slip.
what a conversation for a sunday morning! :eek:0 -
Ok I went both to my local Asda (in Brighton Marina) and to Superdrug (also in Brighton) today but they did not have these on special offer but just at the normal price of £2.99 per box so maybe this is just a localised offer0
