I booked it the day before the rates went up - my husband is an existing customer and the loan is based on his income only so it was all done over the phone.
It doesn't say you can swap your deal. Under the section re Early Repayment Charges it says that you may not be liable for any ERC's during the fixed period if you take out additional borrowing for a new house purchase and take out a new deal. I don't have the actual wording with me but both me and my husband think that it means we can change our deal when we move if we want to and avoid some (if not all) ERC's as we will be taking on a considerable amount of additional mortgage.
I haven't got any experience of this or Natwest, so the opinions of any brokers here would be appreciated!BTW, I am not a "lazysaver" anymore - bit of a daft username really0 -
We were due to sign up on last Friday but they went up at the midnight thursday. gutted!0
