My journey....

Hello my lovelies....
I went BC in February this year after a long hard battle with myself over it! It was a VERY stressful experience and I lost my car because I also have a company car
.....
What seemed like an eternity an IPA was put in place for £250 a month, I was hoping for less but I new with my earnings this was not to be, but without my car I didn't have to worry about running costs it became manageable.
So now.. I sleep at night, I answer the phone, I open my post and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I will be discharged in Feb next year and will be paying an IPA for 3 years instead of DMP for practically the rest of my life.
I am constantly on the phone to check my bank balance and I watch what I spend. I am 100 % happier than I have been in years. The advice I got from this board is invaluable and I want to thank everybody for making this trip a lot easier!!

What a refreshing change to hear from a poster who is happy to pay an IPA and is actually just accepting what will be will be and is sensible enough to see that even now they are still better off
.
Before anybody jumps in that is not a knock at the genuine cases of where an IPA is not really viabale.

Great to hear you are doing so much better kk100. I agree that an IPA for 3 years following BR is definately the lesser of many/ greater evils.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)
12k in 2018 No. 98 £6274.19/£18000 (34.85%)

Residential (start) £275000.00 (current) £268000.000 -
Thanks for the replies...
What I pay on the IPA is a quarter of what I actually owe so at least I feel I have tried my best to pay. A friend of mine is looking at BC with her husband.. they owe £20K but can easily pay it back but are looking at an easy get out jail free card..... I have told them that BC is NOT the easy option and managed to talk them out of it once they understood all the restrictions and also they would definately have to pay an IPA.
They thought that they could wipe out all the debts with nearly no consequenses! Gaaaaaa!!

Isn't is amazing how some people view things without considering the reality? And possibly the fact that you have coped with this with such strength may have added to their perception. Good on you for setting them straight, and well done on taking steps for a better future.
