Hi I just bought a cookworks BM and my first loaf tasted sweet, the recipe with the machine says to use 2 tablespoons sugar can I leave out the sugar?
Does anyone have a foolproof basic 2lb white loaf recipe?
MTIA.

I don't use a breadmaker, but I only use 1 teaspoon of sugar per 500g flour. 2 tablespoons seems an awful lot.0

My receipe is for only 1 tbs of sugar. 2 sounds a lot to me.
My receipe is
460g flour (but I actually use 464 as it gives a nice texture)
1tbs of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbs oil or butter
1 packet of yeastI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Thanks so much for the recipe it looks so much more straight forward than the one that came with the BM.
