My 16 year old Son loves it - and has at least 2 mugs a day !! I bought it for cooking - its also lovely ice cold made with milk and a bit of sugar, tastes a bit like the tins of coffee- advertized but it works out loads cheaper :j think the tins are around £1-30 each 99p on special - camp coffee can vary from 99p to £1-19 per bottle - only need a teaspoon or 2 cheap in Asda -

  • Yes, it can brinbg back nostalgic feelings, and the picture on the bottle is great, but it tastes horrible! Surely no one who has tasted the 'real' coffee that is available today can really like it.

I remember when I was a small child, my mother was a coffee drinker. This was very unusual in those days and my father's family considered it was one of the 'fast' habits she'd picked up in London during the war. Although she drank Nescafe at home (or Nescaff as it used to be pronounced then) when we went to my father's aunt she always made mam a cup of Camp. She had it in the house for baking purposes. My mother really didn't like it, especially as it was made with sterilised milk but was too polite to say so!

Dribble a little over vanilla icecream (or, even better, vanilla with chocolate bits...) Delicious, but you have to be careful not to use too much as it's concentrated!
  • Hi Our tesco still does it, and I noticed that it was 79p yesterday, was surprised at price nearly bought some it reminds me of my late mum, but I dont like it so not very good when watching the pennies!
