Sainsburys online item not in store - will the store order in?

I want to buy something that's on Sainsburys online, but not in my local store (it's Dr Beckman tumble-drier sheets for dry-clean only items, and the ONLY thing in the whole range my store doesn't stock!)... Does anyone know if the store can order something in? And at no extra cost? It only costs a few pounds, so there's no way I want to order online and pay £6 delivery!

Alternatively, if anyone knows of a similar product / somewhere to get hold of it cheap, I'd love to hear suggestions.

I work for Sainsburys and AFAIK it is not possible to have items ordered into the store if the store doesn't stock it.

OP you could ask at scustomer services if theres a chance the store could stock it, if theres enough requests then they may well consider it

Was just wondering if you could maybe go on the vouchers board and see if there are any free delivery ones kicking about for sainsburys and then you could get what you are after without having to pay delivery.

Thanks all, I'll ask instore today. And love2shop, I'm sure I've read that Sainsburys never/very rarely do discounted or free delivery will have a look on the vouchers board just in case though.

Wouldn't the delivery come from the local store (which doesn't stock these items)?
I know that when I look at the Sains site without putting in my postcode I see a general selection and when I put in a local postcode (doesn't deliver to me sadly) I get the local store's selection (has some items not on the general site/ omits some ). Would this not be the case for the OP??

yes thats how its done as all the stores who have internet shopping dont stock the same range of foods, a solution could be to see if the OP has a family member or a friend whose area is service by a store who has internet shopping and who stocks the item

Update: Just asked at customer services and the lady took the details of the product I wanted and my name / phone number and said they would try to get it in and phone me to let me know as & when
