The Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 that would make such changes possible has been passed. But that only allows subsequent changes to be brought in under that act. It doesn't actually enact the changes themselves.
A bit Like the Consumer Credit Act 1974 permitting the government to bring in the subsequent 1983 onwards copy document and other regulations/SIs.
But the government has chosen not to take forward the further legal changes required for that at the moment.
But, yes, judges do seem to be sometimes ignoring the present rules and case law at the moment despite this.:rolleyes:Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The big question is how long will they hold it back? the goverment is les than predictable lately, i think you will agree.
Hopefully it never will be taken forward, but i think that is being over optemistic, dont you?:rolleyes:Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

At least it gives people the right ammunition to challenge the judges who are jumping the gun and implementing co's, for the moment anyway.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Evening all

First & foremost I have to say the most tremendous 'thankyou' to all those who came on board for me last night - you all know who you are :A:A:A
Today has been a better day, a 'pro-active'day really...................
My OH has now agreed to phone the Court on Monday & book his BR appointment :j We have agreed that his car is the least of our problems for now - better to use the money for his BR than fixing it - I still have my old banger at the mo which he can use for his work............no tow bar but heh
I have now registered him with the Insolvency Service online :j
I have been reading & reading 'stuff' & can now see the wood for the trees :j
It all feels a whole heap better than it did - 'knowledge is power?'
