Well done on your win.
We went a few years back and it was brilliant. We stayed in a hotel right next door. It was a prize OH won so don't know how much it would have cost but we had a family room which was ideal.

We went a couple of weeks ago - me, hubby and my sister and her fiance. It was brilliant, we used to go loads as kids and it was fab to see the jousting again.
It is a bit out of the way though -but if you can get to it, it is well worth the visit!
Congratulations! :TLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -

Do you want me to recommend some other hotels nearby?
There are plenty of travel lodge/premier inn type places within a short distance. I'm not sure Park Hall is value for money.

Did it anyway.

On a main road and bus route into Chorley. Next to a fab Italian!

other side of Chorley, on main road again so on a bus route. Pub next door does nice food.
http://www.premierinn.com/pti/pTiibsRedirect.do?INNID=WIGCHA is in Standish near to J27 of M6.

Least accessible of the ones in Chorley as not all that near to bus routes etc.

Bit further out. There is one across the road too (literally!) so I won't link to that.

Not a chain but about a mile up from the Travelodge. On the main road still so easy to get the bus into town.

I'm hesitating about this one as it is a bit more and when I've eaten there, the service has been, erm, odd. But still, the bus stop is virtually outside and the food is nice!
And finally...

but by a really busy roundabout and when I tried to look at the prices, every night I chose was booked up so might not do family rooms.
All of them should be within 5-10 miles of Camelot. There may be more a bit closer but my brain is fried at present.
