One poll - no paying surveys????

They used to have loads of paid surveys and I got paid roughly every 6 months but now it's a struggle to get to that £40 pay out. Although they are very quick to pay when you request it.0

Can anyone tell me if earnings from these types of surveys are taxable? I've had an email from one company about a project where you monitor a provider and they keep you on a monthly retainer (a good amount for little effort). So I'm wondering..... do I need to tell The Man?:cool:0

Our personal tax allowance is around £6035 for this tax year and earnings above this 'should be' taxed. MPs have been getting away with tax dodging for years - and on a large scale - it's up to you whether to inform the Inland Revenue.0

Thanks for the reply, Libra, but I'm not suggesting I should tax dodge! I also do mystery shopping and there are elements of that upon which I am taxed and others I am not. I also do product testing and that is not taxable. So it's no clear cut as you may think.:A If I am monitoring the provider's performance with a particular product it is not necessarily taxable..... but might be!0 -
It sounds a little complex bankypanky, I suppose that any cheque received from most companies would be counted towards your personal tax allowance, but vouchers received wouldn't?
Anyone agree/disagree?0 -
I do this but a lot of them are for parents. If I had known this when I joined I would have "had a family"andrina_nightshade wrote: »I think the secret is to log on several times a day. I logged on at about 10am this morning (nothing) and then again about 20 minutes ago, and lo and behold, there was a survey for me. I still hear of people getting 4 -5 surveys a day, but the most I ever see are two paying ones (and usually I'm not eligible for both )
Does anyone else think Libra is connected to one poll or is it just me???What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
There was one the other day that said 'Only answer if you have a Dad and like John Terry'
how specific is that?:rotfl:
There used to be loads of ipod shuffle draws that seem to have been replaced by Amazon now. I've seen a couple of people on MSE claim they've won prizes though.
To be honest the declining number of surveys is annoying but in perspective they're always quick and easy (especially when you consider the agony you have to go through to get 10p from ciao!)This thing we call failure is not falling down but staying down :beer:0 -
I'm getting annoyed with them too to be honest. Most paid surveys - and a lot of the prize draw ones - now seem to be aimed at parents and/or those in a relationship. Being a single girls with no family, I hardly qualify for anythingComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

In my experience, OnePoll are a very reputable company, as I have received several wins from them. I've received about 2 or 3 £200 prizes, a mobile phone, and recently an Ipod Nano.
I've also received 2 (or 3) £40 payouts from them and my account currently stands at around £9.50. I seem to receive a payout around every 6 -8 months, and when you win a prize it's a bonus.
Good luck
Anyone else won anything??
I have to say, I also noticed the number of surveys you get paid for is down.. a lot.0 -
How can you not know how many £200 prizes you have won....? I would definitely remember it if I received a cheque like that out of the blue!!In my experience, OnePoll are a very reputable company, as I have received several wins from them.
