In the context of shopping, if I have a recorder switched on so I can reord notes to myself "two members of staff, eight customers, pool of water on floor etc etc., and a member of staff interrupts me and says "Good morning, how may I help you today?" and my recorder picks that up..... well I got lucky.

Oooh. Picture this. Your recorder picks up. " He looks like a bloke who's elevator doesn't stop at every floor." "You reckon he has a wife...she must be carrying a white stick and have a blind dog. PS Why do we say that. It is the owner who is blind...not the pooch. Or " I am sure that is Brad Pitt what are our chances of getting an autograph"

Log in, click "invites" at the top of the page, and it will load all the jobs currently available. Click "accept invite" against any jobs you're interested in, and wait to see if they're allocated to you or not!

I quite agree I didn't associate you with the post at all. I know one of the people who has since left the forum was planning to anyway and that post was just the final straw.

Can I throw my opinion in and I mean it to be constructive.

I have been on this forum for a long time. It has deteriorated a great deal.

Mayer it is the recession but too many people are looking for a way to earn a lot of money. Well sorry you would be better off on the horses.

Most of the companies state it is not a way to earn money. It is pin money. Meaning if you are out shopping anyway and pick up a shop where you are shopping it will give you some money to subsidise what you are spending. It is not a means to earn money with some exceptions.

No harm to newbies but you are misundertanding what MWS'ing is about. Most of the companies tell you that and one of the reasons they give is that you want to increase good customer experience.

Too many want it spoon fed and expect us to hand them a list of high paid assignments. Then they want us to help them with the tests to get into some compies.

Too many people dont do a search so we are continually answering the same old, same old.

Maybe I sound selfish but when I started I went through all the trials like Tern trials,

And many will slag me for this but I am in Glasgow. There are more posters there than anywhere else. I worked hard to get good relations with my companies so if I gice out all the tests on getting accepted there are less jobs for me.

    Or am I being selfish.

    Opinions welcomed.

I hope I have not upset anyoen as that is not my intention.

Rant over you will be glad to know.:rotfl:

You are probably right at least to some extent HP, the only thing I'd say is that the most recent disagreement was about somebody effectively saying nobody on this forum gave trustworthy info apart from two particular people, which is what I think inflamed people.

I agree with you generally to some extent. I do MSing because I enjoy it, if I was doing it purely to make money I'd have given it up ages ago, because, like you say, it's not the easy way to riches. However, I don't think it's fair to say you can't make any money from it. I just put my profit since the start of the tax year in my sig today, take a look. I was quite pleased with that, but that was from 107 jobs, so I've probably earnt it!

Also, I think you are right about spoonfeeding newbies - it does annoy me. I only starting MSing in November, with RE, and found all that by myself. By January, I'd found this forum and registered with the other companies listed, but I don't think I asked for loads of help, I read the material provided by the companies and did the tests by myself. The exception with that is ABAi - I can understand why people can't work that one out, it's not at all simple...

Very sorry to have upset you Holly :o

P.s. I'm not sure if you a referring to me as using MS as a way to "earn a lot of money" (and taking the Glasgow jobs from you). However, I am well aware of how much each MS pays and after spending hours reading details on the MS websites, I am also well aware that it is never going to replace an income. However, as jdan9 has shown in his signature, it can be a great supplement!

Anyways, I apologise again, I didn't mean to waste peoples time or clog up the board! :o

I am wondering if anyone can help me with this.

I failed a test for one Gap clients last year, and I wanted to take the test again. So I emailed them and asked for the test to be rested. I got the following reply: “The certification test we cannot reset due to a contractual agreement with the client”. Is this right? As I remember from this forum many were allowed to take the test once again after resting the test.

I did that with the chicken places. I was really annoyed at myself as I'd reached my quota for the burger ones and I can't do all the phones in my area!! But I've had a couple of calls from GAP asking if I could move some of my jobs forward as they need them to be done sooner urgently at the request of the client, so when I had the most recent call from them, I asked if they would reset it - he initially said no, but then I asked him again sweetly and he said he would do it! :T He ent me an email asking me to reply with the request as apparently they need it in writing and he's going to re-set it. Don't know if he's done it yet, as it only just happened and I expect it won't be immediate, but I hope he sticks to his word. Worth a try anyway methinks.
Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x

    Hi guys......

First post for me on here but been reading this forum for a while......have been mystery shopping since May.... and much more now since I was made redundant from my job as a recruitment consultant at the end of June

Have done quite a few jobs with RE and GAP also one each with TNS and ABAi....but whats the score with BARE jobs......I applied to do a rather well paid one with them recently (£17 fee) and never heard anything back - do you have to chase them as a rule or is it just more luck that that they pick you to do the job?
Proud to be dealing with my debts!! :j

I can't seem to be able to post on the Alerts thread for some reason so trying on here - there are loads of French sandwich shops on RE - apologies if they're the same as already been mentioned, but they weren't showing up for me earlier on, now there's almost 500 jobs - mainly those blinkin' Pharmacy ones! I do have a wide search area though.............
