RBS/Natwest rates went up at midnight

I was meant to be getting a call back in the week to arrange a mortgage but they never called. Phoned today as I've got the day off work and after half an hour, got through to speak to someone.
Rates went up at midnight and the website hasn't yet been updated.
The 4.59% 5 year fixes rate I was after is now 4.89% Grrrr!!
Still a good deal but very annoying!!

Might be better late then never, why isnt anyone thinking about 10. It might be a decade or more before this government debt is paid off, cant see it being 0.5% then
In america they are taking 25yr fixes, someone is going to collect big on that0 -
Just noticed this myself and it's got me a bit worried!
We had to get our mortgage offer re-issued last week because Natwest bundled wage protection insurance with it and it's not necessary for us (5.49%). The new mortgage should have come yesterday at the latest and it hadn't so when I chased the Mortgage Centre I was told it hadn't been issued but it will be (not the answer we wanted!). Do any of you guys think they could change the rate or is it something I'll just have to wait and see? Should find out next week either way anyway but getting sick of all the waiting now.0 -
yes bloody annoying that still waiting for my call back and will ask for the 4.69% i saw on website. couldn't get through on phone. still maybe rates go down a bit in a few months0

Few, we just went through the time consuming phone call process with Natwest last week. Got their "provisional offer" for a 5 year fixed @ 4.59, signed and sent back a form to them on Fri 19.06.
Will we be effected by the most recent rate increase? I don't think so, but still feel nervous. Can somebody give us some assurance pls?
Many thanks,0 -
Anybody know if they have changed their 5.99% 90% LTV first time buyer exclusive aswell?0

The rate won't be changed as you already had an application in progress.0 -
Hi-i noticed rises on thursday after going through application. When was it 4.59%?-i only saw 4.69% on wed. I dithered all week because i was ideally looking at deals OF LTV of 60% but didn't want to chance it as it was too close too call. I should be ok at 75%. I hope i'm ok as got p/work through on saturday. Bloody costing me approx 2.5k to get out of current 4.99% fixed till end of feb but at least we'll know we're fixed. Off to local branch first thing with P60's and get p/work awat asap.0
