Reclaiming PPI's

Hi, i'm a NHS employee and took out a morgage in 2006, i was told to take out PPI by a bank but have recently found out that my NHS pension and other benefits may cover for sickness etc for 6 months, do you think i am entitled to claim back my premiums?

Hi there and welcome.
I recall on being covered as well when I worked for the NHS, so I imagine you do have these benefits.
In this case as you were covered when taking this out and still covered by the NHS I would try to reclaim on your PPI.
After Jan 2005 they should have advised you, unlike pre 2005 sales where they were non advised.
I would check out this link below on the PPI mis selling checklist, as there may also be other reasons you need to add on the letter as well, but even if its one or 5 reasons you have it does not matter.
On the link you will also come across template letters to help you through this:

Use your own reasons in the template.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full.
Another letter maybe required if they do not resolve this in your favour, where they should or may give you the opportunity to write back to them again with 2nd letter, there is a template stage 2 letter as well to help you.
They should in the final response give you details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), if your not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
