Advantage Gold and Natwest Mortgage

On the net it says if you are a AG customer you can have reduced rates which arent on the website and save up to £500 on product fees. We are looking at the 10 yr fixed at 5.14%. Does anyone have an experience with an advantage gold discount. I dont yet have the account but thinking of opening one.
Thanks

I have an Advantage Gold Account - my mortgage rate is a tracker @ .5% above BoE Base Rate.

How did this compare to the 'standard' mortgages they took out at the time?
    Thanks

    Hi,

I haven't been told another price with AG yet, I only saw it on there website but when i clicked nothing else came up. I will ring this morning and ask. If I can reduce the fee of £699 be great. I think you can cancel AG as well so if the monthly repayments are cheaper might be worth having for a while then canceling.

I was speaking to rbs about similar thing (rbs & natwest same people). They allow you to take out the mortgage with there royalties account (which is like advantage) and then after a few months you can cancel accountbut keep mortgage. Some of the rates they offer are cheaper etc. However for the ten year fixes the difference between royalties & non royalties customers is that only rbs royalties customers can currently get a 10yr fix! It has a fee of £699 so I think that will prob be same with natwest.
Here to help and be helped!
