Tried telling a few creditors about br

Failed miserably!!lol
Firstly i tried phoning AA Hutton, who are arresting my wges for old council tax, as soon as I told them I had been declared br they said they could not talk to me anymore without an acc number, I have no idea what the acc no is as its been 4 years my wages have been getting arrested and I cant find any letters. I said there must be some way of accessing file she said no it was my own fault i should have kept the paperwork! She is quite right of course but I am sure there is such a thing as good customer service
Any way phoned payroll for a ref number phoned back and the ref number is no longer valid!! lol How on earth they manage to take money off me evry month if it is not valid is beyond me! lol Long and short of it is i have to copy br certificate (which arrived today) and send it off to them.
Next was Scottish power pre payment section, they were much more helpful, she found an e-mail with the apropriate address to send cert to.
I decided to contact these 2 myself as they are taking money off me, rather than me paying it so cant just stop now I am br. Bet i would not get back what they take off after br eh!! Will defo leave the rest to the AiB though lol!
Quick q re bank accounts I know you are groaning not that again! lol
Before I went br I opened a new acc so that the bank would not off set my credit balance or available overdraft against debts. However i went with the RBS and am not owe them any money. Does anyone know if they close accounts anyway? Not sure if its worth opening a co-op one just in case.
Well done if you got this far!!

I'd open a co-op account "just in case"...did you inform the receiver about the RBS account? I know most will not take an interest BUT with banks being the way they are you dont know if they'll close the account soon as they find out about your bankruptcy..We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Do you know Phil i dont think I did, I am pretty sure when we filled in br application form i was still with the Clydesdale and did not have new acc numbers yet. Will that make a difference? The AiB did send me a letter stating no interest to give to the bank in case I have problems.
Think I will give the co-op a ring tomorrow just in case though eh.
Thanks

I would second phil and suggest you get an account with a bankruptcy friendly bank as a back-up e.g. co-op cashminder account. Good luck.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)
12k in 2018 No. 98 £6274.19/£18000 (34.85%)
BTL (start) £97440.00 (current) £68000.00
Residential (start) £275000.00 (current) £268000.000 -
Problem is.....its the bank they decide if the account is allowed to continue...could you not give them a call & ask? worth a shot, people have been known to keep accounts when BR with other non BR freindly banks...although its very very rare this happensWe all die.
