Hiya
We've just remortgaged with A&L. In the past we've remortgaged but we've never been sent the deeds etc to the house. This morning they arrived through the post...not recorded delivery just normal post. Should we have them??? Thanks in advance.

Hi
Yes you should have the deeds. Banks and building societies no longer require to hold the deeds, as electronic copies are kept at the Land Registry.
However, you should keep the deeds that have been sent to you in a safe place, as there may be documents in the pack that will be of use on a future sale, re-mortgage or transfer of the property.:o0 -
Thanks Jessbob - I wasn't sure as i'd never seen them before! I'll make sure they're put somewhere safe and not just 'filed'!0
