4 hellish weeks, the valuation was done within the first week, from then on in it was back and forth, just make sure you send every bit of paperwork known to man to them at the beginning because every time they ask for more you go right back to the bottom of the queue again

Glad to hear you got it sorted, Emma.

Slowly slowly, like my grandma. Nothing fast about Abbey at the moment LiGhTfast.

Sending the paperwork does not help, They only ask for X, if you send them a, b and c as well, they bin these as they only need X - Then a few weeks later they ask for A - The pain.

    Great news.

That got formally offered today as well

Its horrible waiting, not knowing whats going on! Escpecially now the public notice is in the paper. The mortgage adviser has loads of out details just one worrying thing is the girlfriend lost the earliest of her last 3 wage slips so sent in 2 previous ones.

I hope ours is done in 4 weeks! with the rate rise the other night things might move quicker :)

its difficult to know what they want, i wouldnt worry too much about the payslip, i sent last years tax credits by mistake and they didnt pick up on it

Thats great news Emma. Our valuation is being done on Monday for the property we are buying so hopefully it won't be too long after that before the mortgage offer comes through. Had a problem with the solicitor who is dealing with our sale not being Abbey's solicitors panel but that's all be sorted out now too so fingers crossed it will be plain sailing from now on.

I've got to say that our mortgage broker has been spot on and phoned me as soon as he had any info from Abbey. He also helped us to be moved up the que as when they asked for additional information we were put to the bottom of the pile. So it was a week between us putting the offer in and getting the mortgage accepted from Abbey :)

Here's hoping that the valuation comes back OK and then the formal mortgage offer follows swiftly after that :)
