Non Teaching staff salary

Can anyone tell me how the pro rata salary of non teaching staff is calculated?
I've seen a position which requires working term time and 2 weeks in the holidays, so a total of 32 weeks, so would the pro rata salary be 32/52nds of the advertised salary?
Also I presume that salary is paid the throughout the 12 months - or is it just during the period worked?

If your paid pro rata 32/52 you would just divide the annual salary by 52 and times by 32? Divide by 12 to get a monthly figure0

It depended on what level you were on. (at least until single status gets introduced fully - because then you will only get paid for the term time or hours you work, it seems, in our council anyway). At the present time LSA's level 1 and 2 get paid for the term time only and level 3's and 4's get paid for 52 weeks of the year. The salary for both though is split into 12 months pay so you get paid every month. Hope this helps (and hope my info is correct! Its what i think happens anyway, I have been both level 2 and 3 and that is how it worked.)If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0

Certainly for people I know that work in non-teaching positions the salary is paid throughout the whole year.:o0

If the salary is paid just for the work time then that would be how I would calculate it but it doesn't say that in the job pack, it just states the salary and mentions that it is pro rata.
Given the position it doesn't seem that well paid (if it is on a pro rata scale!) but anything is better than nothing these day!2014 Target;

I love my job as an LSA but the pay is dreadful. I get paid term time only but as mentioned before it is split into 12 equal payments so I still get a pay slip in the sumer holidays. It's a really rewarding job though.0

Remember you do get paid for the statutory holidays ( 20 odd days) too.
Also when pro rata- ing the salary remember you are not doing full time hours - the salary quoted is usually based on 37 hours , 52 weeks so if you are doing a 30 hour post (usually the max in a school) for 32 weeks + 5 weeks paid holiday (not sure on the exact amount) the calculation is ccomplex!
As an example the full time equivalent for my grade is 18500 ish. ( grade 6 on the new job evaluated single status scale) I do term time only 25 hours and my salary is 11800 ish. The advertised salary can look ok but the reality is rubbish!!!!0
