Anyone know how much to upgrade the accommodation at Butlins from standard to silver or gold.

I read somewhere that you pay £50 to upgrade.

If I upgrade to silver, it will cost the same as booking direct for the same date. It's not always cheap to book through sun.

I honestly wouldn't waste the money.

We went to Skeggy at the end of May and were in Standard accomodation and it was fine.

For some reason they are actually closer to the resort centre - we were right behind Bob's Yard and though you might think it would be noisy on a night; we didn't get disturbed once.

To be honest, if you're like us, you don't spend enough time in the accomodation to worry about it.

When we stayed at Minehead s/catering the standard units are furthest from the skyline so I wouldn't mind upgrtading - even to gold if its reasonable.

We always upgrade and I think last time it was only about 40 quid.

Update: just got my confirmation in the post and phoned up to pay the balance and upgraded to silver : £22.50.

Total cost half board silver for 2 adults and 1 child : £209.50.
    Slightly cheaper than booking direct.
    Can't wait...:j
