Dance shoes

Hi there, Can anyone recomend anywhere to get dance shoes - I think they are called jazz - soft leather on top with a sort of rubber sole on bottom - either in store in the Glasgow area or online ? Thanks

I usually use ebay for dance stuff. Got some jazz shoes from there for £12 in May. Lots of the sellers are dance shops who sell on ebay too.

    Good luck.
  • i would say ebay too, i have just purchased dance trainers for my daughter at least half the price as ones in the shops!

  • economy-jazz-shoe-leathershoes like this? at www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/Footwear/RSJS/economy-jazz-shoe-leather/ (dont think it will let me post links as im a relatively new user)

i study dance at uni and get most of my stuff from that website above, dance direct - from the looks of things, their cheapest is 12.95 for split soles (which are more comfortable) or about 9 for standard soles. my computer just froze so not sure exact price.

are they to be worn for a stage school or not so regular classes? cus if its for regular classes and performances, it may be worth investing in jazz trainers for about £20 but the school will advise on that.

    good luck.
I am a poor student wife now but don't think I can edit username? i study dance and love it though of course, it'll be a career that doesn't earn a lot of money!!

lost 5lbs so far - up to 11lb more to lose i think, will stop if it looks skeletal though dont think that could ever happen!
  • I used Dancedirect for my jazz shoes too. Quick delivery and accurate sizing.
I think they were about £10.

Thanks for these. Its for 9 yr old who goes to a dance class once a week - she does all sort of dancing. Forgot to ask teacher where to try but its now finished for summer and would like to get them before it starts again in August if possible.
