Firstly i have just rang ta credits and they are also letting child benefit know that i want money paid into a different account, anyone got a rough idea how this it takes??
Secondly i have a credit card and 2 loans with lloyds, which will be going into the BR..but i also have home contents and life policy with them, will they cancel this after BR with me owing money to loans CC.. or wont they take any notice and let me continue. I know i may have to buy or lose the life insurance but till i know i need to continue with the payments, so will also change the DD for these.
Thanks again, sorry for all the questions but i dont want to bepanicking if i miss anything

Usually takes a couple of weeks to get sorted. If I were you I would contact CHB as well and let them know. There has been a couple of occasions on here where the message hasn't got through and a c0ck up has ensued. Better safe than sorry.
You should be fine with the insuranses to carry on paying. Just check the T&C's for a bankruptcy clause.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Sorry, i don't know about the insurance, but I agree completely with Tiger, phone Child Benefit yourself, CTC very often don't bother.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Tax Credits promised me on two occasions that they could get Child Benefit paid into my husband's account but they didn't / couldn't. In the end I had to get Child Benefit to send a form, fill it out and send back to them, all of which takes a while before they even get to look at it.
If you get worried that you might lose out, you can ring them and ask them to suspend it until you have a secure place to put it and they will do that immediately
