I have just changed my bank details at work so that my june salary will be paid into my fathers account. I am planning to declare my BR on the 29th of June. Will they want to take this money straight away as an assest ( i have no other assets at all) or can i continue to use it?
thanks

You should be able to keep it for day to day cost of living. When do you get paid? To be safe why not withdraw all you'll need for expenses before filing for BR. Who is your new bank account with? Someone will correct me if i am wrong, but from what i have read on here you can get your salary paid into another account belonging someone else, and it should be ok.
i think if its a new account of your own then you have to tell the OR you have it.0
