I need to make around £500-800 in exactly a month!

I'm 18 and I go on holiday a month today and desperatly need to raise some funds for spending money!

I've tried selling a few old things on ebay but they didn't prove very successful. I've tried getting a job but anyway now I probably wouldn't recieve a first months pay in time. I'm a full time student by the way, not a bum!

I'm desperate for ideas and appreciate any help!

Thanks

    Hi Hayley
Ebay things won't sell until you have a higher feedback score - people are nervous of new sellers. Try buying a few really cheap things to up your feedback - or get other people to do their buying through you...
Car boot sales also are a good way to earn cash - I have earnt upto £100 but make sure everything is clean and well presented.
Most pub jobs pay weekly but prob wouldn't be happy if you start then go on holiday... Plus you get tips in cash :)
    Starting debts £29,500
    Now £225.54 loan, £708.30 CC Total £933.84
Interest free loan from In laws £1,000
£6 in Boots points, £2.90 Co-op divi, £0 Paypal, £250 No Access savings
New DFW date - asap!! :j

It's a lot of money to find in a short space of time. However I agree that boot sales are good at the moment. We looked around at one a couple of weeks ago to see if we might do one soon and there were loads of people buying and selling.
Perhaps you have lots of stuff of your own to sell or maybe you could persuade friends and relatives to donate unwanted belongings to your stall. (Tell them you are helping them to declutter!) You would have to do at least one boot sale each week to get anywhere near your target. At least the money you raise is "instant" and you don't have to wait a month to get paid even if you found a job.

    Good luck.

Hi when I was a student and needed money I lap danced for a month! It really isn't seedy or anything like that if you go to a reputable club. I didn't get involved or really speak to any of the girls, just did my job and went home. The men (and women!) who frequented the club were mainly on stag dos, there were a couple of weirdos but nothing major! I earned between £200 and £300 pounds a night. The most I earnt in the quickest time was £70 in half an hour! If you do decide to do this though I can't stress enough the importance of finding a reputable club as I think there are dodgy ones out there, where the girls do more than just dancing!

If you don't manage to raise the money in time let me know. I could probably find £800 out and take your place.

PS. You're going on a holiday with other girls, right?

Have a look at the Gambling loopholes board. Could make you £500 if you tried hard enough.

Party plan is fine, but it usually takes at least a month to get going unless you've got loads of friends who'll have parties.
  • Try Gumtree in the part-time work section there's often bits and bobs that could be done.

http://www.contactfieldmarketing.com/ might be worth a look.

    Oh and Focus groups. http://www.fieldfacts.com/FocusGroup/UK/HomePage.html
