I'd recommend you go for a known brand name like Karcher. When they go wrong (and they do), you will find spare parks for the Karcher, but with the no-name brands, you'll end up throwing it away. Sure you'll pay more, but in the long run, your cost of ownership is lower.0

Well, yes and no ...
A known brand name like Karcher is likely to last longer; true.
Parts are easily available; again this is true.
However, I would disagree that the total cost of ownership is lower in the long run. This is because parts are so expensive.
I bought a mid-range Karcher washer 3 years ago for about £160. It's not used that much - maybe 4-5 times a year, but I've had to get 2 replacement hoses during its lifetime because of problematic seals at the connectors. They cost between £30 to £35 each time from Karcher in Banbury. I reckon I could have had 3 cheap no-name machines during that time and it would still have worked out cheaper!

Yes, this is possible - but there would be a couple of no-name machines in the landfill, and no guarantee that any attachments you bought for each one would be compatible with each other. It really depends how you look at it ;-)
Amazon are doing a Karcher for 39.97 - so you can buy a good brand without breaking the bank:

This must a new 'entry-level' machine. I didn't know Karcher did anything less than a 2 series. It only comes with a 3m hose and a fixed spray gun, so again once you've added on the cost of accessories it'll cost more!0 -
Not sure how good a deal this is but Costco have a Karcher K3.91 MD+ pressure washer on offer from 3rd to 9th April at £99.86 inc VAT (£15.00 off their normal price). Amazon have what look like similar models but not that particular one.
It's in Costco's book of vouchers that was sent out a couple of months back but they normally have spares by the door on the way in.

NU Tool spares are readily available and they are reliable. Karcher are a rip off the small domestic machines are very poor quality.0

My Karcher 720 totalled itself spectacularly after after less than 30 hours of use, unfortunately spread over 2 years. If I remember rightly it cost 300ish and was a serious bit of kit - had brass bits rather than plastic in the oojamaflic.
From now on the cheaper the better. At £10 per hour the cheap ones have only got to last 3 hours and I'm quids in and at my rate of usage will still be within the warrantee period if they do go bang.
