ok, I've just checked the weather and it seems Saturday will be wet and Sunday will be dry.

As it's only 48 hours away - I think we need a plan!

So, here's my thoughts - please feel free to disagree/tweak etc!!

Saturday: Those in Weymouth on Saturday - meet on the beach near to the clock tower from 2.30pm. I say 'from' because I know everyone is arriving at different times. If it's nice, we can be on the beach or along the front somewhere. As the beach is a bit bigger than a table in a pub whichis the normal meet, it isn't going to be easy to pick people out, so I think if everyone can swap numbers with a few others at least people can shout if they are at the clock tower in the afternoon and there is nobody nearby.

If it is wet, we need a child friendly pub near to the train station/clock tower My knowledge of Weymouth isn't good and although I've found lots of pubs here (with some such as the Dolphin very near the station and with excellent reviews), I don't know which are child friendly - do all pubs allow children in the day now?

So, if anyone knows of a Weymouth pub near the station/beach which is good and welcoming to all - time to shout!

Sunday: either the beach if the sun is out, or Weymouth harbour Again, I don't know the pubs, but maybe we meet at the King's Arms from 1pm (?) where we can either stay in the pub, go for a walk along the harbour, go into Brewer's Quay (shopping - small crafty/candle/handmade soap type shops)

Please all start shouting yea, nay or how about this or that - otherwise we'll all be arriving and not knowing where to go!!

    Or something else completely?

Jack will have a whale of a time Lenny :D Train is excellent for the beach as the station is end of the line and just next to the clock tower/prom.

Now, trains from Pompey take about 2 hours 15 minutes with 1 change. Thats a long time for 70 miles. So I think Im gonna come in the car which means I can have 1 beer I suppose.

Like I said Len...it will take you probably an hour on a saturday to get from Dorchester to Weymouth so the train will probably be quicker

PLan sound fine, I will arrive with DD in tow around 5:30 on the saturday if anyone is still around. Sunday I will be on my own as DD has a party/day out to go to but I shall be leaving at around 2pm as I have to get back to pick her up. If its reasonable on Saturday I can bring a portable BBQ down and we could possibly have it on the beach??

If it is raining I would suggest this place as it has an indoor play area for the kids to run riot in

SOunds good Sall. Bringing your BBQ down sounds good perhaps if I come in the car I could bring some frozen meat? Mind you BB is probably the best for menu compilation. Lol at having it on the beach :D
