Bank charges on closed account?

Well DH and I went to the Halifax yesterday to close our account, all fine we thought. Today I thought I'd check online to see if the balance really was £0.00 and discovered that the lady dealing with it didn't take into account a card payment from a few days ago which I told her about and got the cashier to give us too much money.

It isn't much, but there was a glaring red MINUS £8 showing which has really annoyed me. Will they now start whacking charges on it even though it's closed and wasn't our fault? I'm happy to give it back but how would I do that when it's closed?

Something to mention to the OR? And do I now put the minus balance on my form?

Don't worry about changing your form if you've already done your copies. The OR knows that sometimes you complete your form a while before going br and that charges, etc will happen. Yes, they will start lobbing on charges even though the account is closed, but it's automatic - you will get the letters, etc but you just ignore them. Don't worry about it.
