Used to pay the csa then it stopped in 2003.Rang them up and im sure they said it was because she must of gone abroad.Never thought no more of it until today....Letter saying shes claiming again.Could anyone tell me what reasons would the payments i have stopped for, because i asked them today, and they couldnt tell me!! Also i have no idea where she lives etc, although her surname has changed(married?),they wouldnt tell me either. As i would like to arrange payments privately between us rather than the csa,and maybe access to see the child. Any advice appreciated

Access and financial support are seperate, perhaps she went to a country where there is no recipricol csa agreement (REMO) , best to do payments via the csa pay promptly and let the other party worry about if they get the money or not.
Good luck0 -
Thanks for the reply, but why did i stop paying it in 2003??? What reasons would it have stopped for???0

I could not answer that as I'm not involved with the case, but as said above, if she had gone to a country where csa cannot be collected then CS can be paused /stopped during the time she is away

I suspect you mean the father of the child, that depends on if you have parental rights, it is not automatic in some cases. perhaps some of the women can enlighten, but as you are a bloke many will stay quietblacknight1971 wrote: »Thanks, but i thought if she did go abroad, then she would of had to ask me as im the father.Perhaps im wrong.

Ok if you wren't married to the mother and you didn't register the child with the mother then you ain't on the certificate and you have no PR...If the case wasn't closed be very careful they may hammer you for years worths of arrears. Heh heh I knew you would come through as you are the greatest :j, but someone more in the know (breakfast cereal brand 36) who is more in the know on csa case types perhaps could shed some more possible light.0
