increase in income just before ed!!!

Hello
The child tax credit decided to start paying us 70 a week now , this has pushed our income into the realms of us having an ipa , obviously with only a short time before ed , this is the last thing I wanted , I have reduced my hours of work to bring my income outgoings back to a negative balance. But where do I stand with the OR , I get paid monthly so I have to wait three weeks before I can show a wage slip with the new reduced income , this will be 23 days after we got the benefit increase.
Any ideas?

You have a legal obligation to notify the OR of any income increase within 21 days.0

Do you mean AD? Automatic discharge after a year, or ED. With ED, you will not be given a date, as it is not an automatic right.
If it is AD, how long have you got to go?0 -
You only went BR in January, have you had the ED IPOQ through yet?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Please do not pin your hopes on a possible ED date - the OR offices are so busy with new cases (my local office has had a 50% increase between December and March), and ED is done in the quiet times so I do think ED will become a lot less frequent.0

I went br in january but i got a letter saying that my file was being transferred to this rtl or something like that , I know I might not get ed but im worried about getting an ipa as I want to save up for a new house and by putting a lot of overtime in , theres not much point if they are going to take most of it off me
I know that ed is automatic
thanks for the replies0 -
Getting tansferred to the RTLU is no indication that ED will follow,it just means the OR has finished "investigating" your bc. I was transferred in jan but did not even get a ED IPOQ until april,so i do not see how you can avoid sending in your change of circumstance thus avoiding an IPA.
With your credit rating being shot for 6 years not much chance of being able to get a decent mortgage unless of course you are hoping to do enough overtime to buy outright;).Free impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

yes I had that form and filled it in but it is now invalid because they increase the child credit by 70 pound a week:mad:peachyprice wrote: »You only went BR in January, have you had the ED IPOQ through yet?0 -
Have you sent the form back yet?If so when did you send it back?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Im worried that theyre going to look at that and say , ah look hes got spare cash now , lets put him on a 3 year ipa , great
What my question was is this
I have reduced my hours now to compensate for the child tax increase , but will the OR frown upon this , its obvious that I reduced my hours just to avoid the ipa0 -
yes I sent it back a few weeks agotigerfeet2006 wrote: »Have you sent the form back yet?If so when did you send it back?0
