PaySave is it a smarter wat to pay your pension?

normally im pretty clued up until it comes to pensions. My husband works for a large company and they want all staff to pay their pension from their salary so gross pay goes down. This is not the same as Smartsave which i have read up on line where your pension payment increases. This just means you pay less national insurance and take home a few pounds more each month. Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea we only have 2wks to decide and it becomes compulsory.

I have looked and I cant see this being discussed already if it is apologies, please none give me abuse like last time, my husband always takes my advice and I don't want to give him the wrong advice.

The proper name for these things is salary sacrifice. It seems employers have been be coming up with their own names rather than stick with the correct name that has existed for decades. Perhaps they feel the term "sacrifice" will put people off.

There is a stick at the top of this section on salary sacrifice which may give you what you want.
