The Deed is Done

Well that's it, it is done. Other half and I were declared BR at 11.00 this morning, and I have to say that everyone involved could not have been nicer :) My other half was some worried she could barely sign her name, but everyone did their utmost to make it as stress free as possible. The court manager even allowed our fee remission claim regardless of the fact that a vital document was missing (he confirmed with the bank statements).

We had a telephone conversation with the OR liaison officer, and she confirmed that we could start using our Co-op accounts even though they were opened before today :) This afternoon we have sorted out the tax credits, the child benefit, and I have even secured a couple of days work next week; all in all a great begining to our fresh start :)

To finish off, I have just had a call from one of the debt collection agencies. I told him the news, but he still wanted to try and get a payment; I laughed so much he put the phone down on me :rotfl:

Thanks everyone, this forum really is great (I recommended it to another petitioner as we were waiting to be processed) :D

My other half has calmed down now and is looking forward to evenings where if the phone rings it is likely to be someone who won't upset her.
