Just what help CAN i get? =/

Hey fellow MoneySavingExpert forumers xD

Im a newbie here but wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me as im stumped. Even the citizens advice bureau have nothing =/

Im a 20 year old part time student whom was made redundant from woolies. I was expecting to have a job by now which i was i took on this course in Video Game Design.

Except the course is paid £130 a month and its gone past the quit date as the loan to pay for it has all been transferred.

Being on £200 a month income from JSA with outgoings of inusrance (£60), petrol(£20),rent (£160) and plus the £130 for the course, leaves things a bit tight (all that totals £370 going out). I havnt bought my own food in over 9months, my exgf has practically fed me.

As you can imagine im struggling like hell and i am desperate for work even applying for jobs as low as McDonalds (no offence intended to anyone) though i am way over qualified. Applied for 90jobs now, 8replies and 1 interview.

My only choice is financial support from somewhere or another but i can not find anywhere as the course im on is not supported by the government.

WHAT CAN I DO?

I need a grant or loan or something but i cant find anything.

Any ideas anyone? Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Presumably you are entitled to some sort of housing benefit - running a car seems a bit of a luxury if you are unemployed.

Suggest you use a citizens advice or other service to review your cv and give you some help with interview technique - there must be some way you can improve your chances of getting a job.

If you are in receipt of means tested benefits, be careful with your ex gf feeding you. The JCP may decide that you are still a couple (even if you are not living together) and therefore take her income into account when deciding on your entitlement.
