Thinking of going to Chilli's and Maggiano's ? Don't.

They are now both closed as of today, so hopefully no one was planning to go there in the next few days. You'll have to rearrange your plans.

Chili's was an awful place. Never ate in Maggiano's.

I hear they shared a kitchen?
  • They probably did as they were both owned by the same company.

I was looking forward to taking DH to Maggianos for Fathers days because it got a good write up on Tripadvisor

Will have to think of somewhere else now.

I won't miss either to be honest....not great food and quite pricey considering.
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

  • wolfs in Dundonald would be nice for fathers day pam17...we tried it after reading a good few positive reviews on here, the price scared me abit (not overly...its just we are poorer than usual at the moment due to renovating, lol) but the portion sizes more than made up for a few pounds extra!
its at the new cinema complex incase you want to look and the menu can be seen online!

  • I thought maggianos was quite nice. I know some people have had varying degrees of success in the vic square restaurants, but it is a real shame that places are closing. The NI economy is pretty fragile, another 100 people unemployed and I believe we need more of a variety of shops and eateries.

This is a shame. But one of the reasons IVe never been to either is I couldnt work out how to get up there, and ended up in La Tasca or Pizza Express instead - LOL!!
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T
