The give-away is still "coming soon", SO looking forward to it, I love the paintings!

Seriously thinking of buying one though , I've got loads of walls to fill, let's face it; I love'em and it's only £81 for a proper handpainted one :D.. I've seen this guys work in UK &US and wanted one for years but they're usually at least many £100s and that star painting won't get out of my mind, hehe..
  • Hello everyone, this is my first time posting!

I am an avid art buff, but I don't have a Facebook account, and I'm an internet novice (old dog, new tricks and all that).
Is there any other way of getting this freebie, or getting in touch with Hallangen? I can proudly use email, and anything old fashioned like the telephone!

    Hello Oldtimer,
I doubt it, as it says "JOIN this page, details will be revealed here." But if you click here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/HALLANGEN-Bespoke-Original-Art-by-David-Hallangen-Lake/115254070830#/pages/HALLANGEN-Bespoke-Original-Art-by-David-Hallangen-Lake/115254070830?v=info&viewas=0
....there's an email address there you can try. I don't want to type the email address here though, as spammers might pick it up. There's also a phone number.

Or you could just sign up with Facebook, it's much quicker and easier than signing up for email: www.facebook.com ;)

Good luck in any case! :D

  • Thanks for helping this old internet duffer! :T

I signed up for facebook as you suggested, it looks like its the easiest way to get the updates of the art giveaway launch.

Beautiful paintings, I hope we all get a free one!

These kind of things are VERY collectable; many years ago, Damien Hirst did some tiny spin paintings, selling them at about £1 each. A friend of mine owns one, and often takes great pleasure in telling me how incredibly much they're worth now...

Yes :D It's like becoming member of a group, they just call it something else.

I think it's really cool that he replies to the messages about the art by the way, I think it's so interesting to know the story behind a painting I like. I love the comment:
"Serendipity is one of my favourites too. It's a painting I originally made back in 2002, the day after meeting the girl who is now my wife! It's the kind of art where the energy and passion you put into it is captured on the canvas and reflected back out to the viewer, forever, without batteries." Really well said I think! :T

Did anyone here write a message there and got a reply yet?

It's not a competition, I emailed and asked before I decided which board to put it on.

I don't get your "by the yard" thing. Most of the great artists like Munch, Van Gogh, lots of them, did different versions of their paintings, just like this guy does. They aren't copies, but different versions. :D

This artists paintings are normally one-off pieces each with a different design, but they normally are at least many hundreds or often thousands of pounds. I love these paintings and wanted to order one a few years ago, but I really can't afford the normal price.

This range is like when a major and expensive designer like Lagerfeld or Stella McCartney launches an H&M collection, just so people who really love the art (like me and a lot of other people), but can't normally afford it, get a chance to own one. :j:T

I think it's a great idea (and yes you're right, lofielectronic ;) ) I'm definitely buying at least one!

He does sell the new range online, not on Montelimar (I haven't found it there anyway) but under the pictures in the gallery on facebook:

I'm sure I read they're going to be in shops soon too, but I can't remember where it said..

Thought I'd add, their official website is launched! Looking lovely I think!! www.hallangen.co.uk
and yes it does link to the Facebook. :T

The give-away is still only mentioned on Facebook though, so I guess joining their Facebook is the way to get the free art! :j
