the reference number is linked to the person, so it can't really be used by anyone else - it would be booked under the lead name they sent the booking form to even though that person isn't going on the holiday, the confirmation etc. would be sent to that person too.

Just to add that jellyhead is correct. When you put in your number, it automatically puts your details in the application. I tried deleting my details (to see if I could pass on the web addy), but it reverts back to my personal details.
It must have been a security measure to stop everyone using it......................like we all do with other codes on this site!!!!

What I wonder is if the people who got the on-line invites this time will probably be able to book a holiday. Therefore they will probably get an on-line invite the next time as well, whereas people who book by post probably won't get a holiday and therefore not get an on-line invite next time either. If this is the case they really are taking people for a ride.Given I have booked these holidays several times in the past makes this very unfair. If I don't get a holiday I am going to complain to trading standards as they are mis-leading people.

what they usually do if you send in tokens and don't get a holiday is send a list of which parks are still available on which dates, and you can call and book one if it's still available. we did that last year when i tried to book a butlins holiday and got no joy, and also when trying for blackpool during illuminations. that way you'd be on their list and would (i assume) get a priority for next time. i might do that this year, i'd like to be on their priority list. my parents, sister and our family usually all go together in 2 or 3 vans so getting all 3 of us on a priority list where we can all book exactly the same holiday would be great.

i know my mum's ref so if anyone is sending in tokens and wants me to check what's available on a certain date let me know (on here, my pm box is full).

hi guys, i'm quite new to all this so i'm not sure if i'm on the right forum. my husband was thinking of taking me and our daughter on one of those SUN newspaper holiday offers that is currently being promoted for £15. Before we decide to go for it, i thought i'd ask if anyone has been on one of these hols before and what their experiences were. Are there any catches? what's the quality of accommodation, etc.
Any feedback would be most appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Polly

    Hi there,

i know several people who have done them in previous years. The accommodation is very mixed quality. Before deciding which parks you are putting down, check the parks websites or brochures. Some are fantastic, but the regular Sun readers have got to know which these are over the years. If you don't need to go in school holidays, put down dates outside of these, as these always go first, so you get a much better deal outside holidays.

My friend and sister both do them and they are both fussy. It's hardly the Ritz but that's not what your expecting is it! Afterall they can't be that bad as my friend does them most years. My sister did stay at one resort and she said the accommodation was poor, but you need to find out about the resorts first.

    Hope this helps! :o

I've used Sun holidays for the last 10 years taking 2 a year sometimes, i tend to only put down haven, british holidays or park resorts sites as i know then the sites will be good. But we have been on other sites and they have been good too. Well worth the money but make sure you check what extra you will have to pay as its not just the £15 per person you also need to pay for gas and electric on top of the price on some.

Wish you'd posted this yesterday i had a priority form you could have had but i threw it away as i wasn't using it this time :confused:

If you need to know anthing thing else let me know and i'll try to help you.

We never book the sun holidays, we wait till 2 weeks before we are going and book then through british holidays website. You usually get the silver caravan at the same price as the sun holidays once you add on all the electricitty charges and passes. And you arent stuck in a bronze caravan or apartment.

The priority letter is only valid for the person printed on the form. See the other long thread about these hols.
