Salad Dressings? Also Can You Freeze Them?

I want to make my own salad dressing, im thinking of balsamic, whole grain mustard, a little extra virgin olive oil and maybe a little honey but was wondering how long it would keep in the fridge once made or if i could freeze it?
Also, can anyone recommend any other home made salad dressings?
Many thanks

I would think that since vinegar, honey, mustard and oil all have an exremely long shelf life then a dressing made from them will also have a long shelf life.
If you were to put garlic, chillies, herbs, eggs, cream in it then it will have a shorter life.
I make dressings all the time like yours. I make it in a jam jar with a lid and shake well then keep in the fridge. I don't keep it much longer than a week because we get through it quickly and I only make it in small quantities.
I think you would be able to freeze it but the defrosted dressing will probably not look as good. TBH it takes a couple of minutes to put it together in a jam jar that I wouldn't think it was worth freezing.
A basic recipe is 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar or lemon juice. Add mustard and honey to taste. I use a tablespoon to measure. Don't forget the salt and pepper;)0 -
Thanks so much thriftlady, im never sure how long things will keep for but from what you have said i have no need to freeze it anyway
I can just make half a jam jar worth once a week and alter the amounts if i run out or have excess at the end of the week.
Thanks again,
