Services are wonderful when we need them.
Oh you mean such vital services as futile (and quite possibly illegal) wars, paying off incompetent bankers, subsidising the life-style of MP's, propping up an over-saturated motor industry, spending well over £10 billion on a completely inept NHS IT system? Those services?0 -
Are you here to save money or help us to do so or just to pick a fight?
If the latter, f**k off and write to the Daily Mail or similar, I'm sure they would welcome your considerable knowledge and insightfullness.0 -

Thanks ever so much for the warm welcome. No, really.
First you insult me and tell me how great the services provided by tax are - neither having much to do with my original question - and after I suggest that any shortfall could be made up by making savings elsewhere you accuse me of trying to start a fight and insult me again.
Is that a fair summary of your contribution to this thread?
To the question "Are you here to save money or help us to do so?" yes I am - and already have thanks to Martin's great article on reclaiming PPI and will happily pass on advice/tips that come my way. But if you think that means I'll let the likes of you insult me or attempt to push me around you are very much mistaken.0
