Panasonic Lumix Camera

My husband and I are looking to buy a new camera. I have a Sony Cybershot, but it is about 5 years old and has really had it. We've heard really goos things about the Panasonic Lumix, but we were wondering if there is anything else just as good? I need a camera that will take good, quick action shots as I take a lot of our son who is 21 months old and won't stand still for a picture. My camera at the moment just goes blurry.

Thanks

Hi I have a LUMIX which I received as a gift - can't remember the model number at mo - will try post it later on when I get it for you - I have to say its a fantastic camera and its a gr8 action camera - have a 4 month old and quality is brilliant - My mum, dad and sisters also have Lumix cameras as do my aunties and cousins and not one of ours are the same but they are all as good a quality. I would definately recommend them. Good luck in your search - I found John Lewis is a good place to get all the information about them and then you can research the best price online.

have to jump on the bandwagon and recommend Panasonic cameras. I am usually a fan of the traditional camera manufacturers such as Canon , Nikon etc but we have owned a few Panasonics which have always been great

Nikon D40 is a superb all round camera. There are some good bargains on Ebay as a lot of people are trading up to the new D200 and D300 models.

I used to have a canon camera, but I bought a panasonic bridge camera for the long zoom, and have been blown away by the quality of the pictures.

Since then I have also bought a panasonic 10x zoom compact to to slip in my handbag, it takes perfect pictures every time, and they are pin sharp at A4 prints.

(sorry I'm not at home and cant remember the model numbers)

The Ai setting is great, and so is the image stabiliser.

I wouldn't go back to canon (or any other make) now.
