    right here goes

    outgoing every month
    rent £450
    electric £40 (on a meter)
gas & water in with rent
    car costs (petrol/tax/insurance) £125
food (inc all cleaning stuff etc) £200-£250
    council tax £74
    tv license £12
credit card (£987.12 outstanding balance, paying off bout £30 a month)
child care £190 (per month averaged over school and holidays to get average.)
gym classes, brownies & swim lesson for dd £33.56
    paper bill £6.45
plus i reckon maybe £20 per month averaged over a year on clothes/shoes/etc

    incoming
    wages £822
    Tax credit £252.22
    child benefit £73.61

i seem to end up with a deficit of about £80 each month, which goes on cc, then thats adding up, and its all worrying me cos i don't want to go back to being in debt, and being worried sick.

    thanks for your help.

    woas.

When I had an electricity meter it was charged at a higher rate than if I paid the bill via DD. This was some years ago and I don't know if all suppliers are the same but worth checking out. You could post on the utilities board to see if someone knows.

Also you've mentioned family helping out to reduce your childcare costs. Do you get help via tax credits for your childcare, if you do (and I've no idea how they administer it) bear in mind that if your costs reduce you may owe them money back that they've already paid out to you.

Hi just wondered how you were getting on? I notice you don't seem to be in receipt of maintainance for your child? This doesn't affect your tax credits. If your daughters dad can't help out financially could he help out practically instead, perhaps with some childcare to reduce your costs?
