Just giving this a nudge for you - I have no idea how to do it myself.
  • Do you have a scanner?

Or can you take a photo of the letter and get it onto your PC? (this could work with a mobile phone if you have the lead to connect to PC or a digital camera)

  • oh ok, can you scan and save as jpeg format?

If so you can use one of the free hosting services to get your document onto the web. I use Photobucket www.photobucket.com, it's free to register.

Then you can link to it from here.

I can talk you through it if you need a hand.

Can I do this via Paint? or will this mess up the jpeg format?

Incidentally, if it doesnt auto save in this format how do I change it?

You could try cropping the image to remove the name and address? If this doesn't work you can alter images in Photobucket (erasing things etc) and save the new copy.

If your scanning software doesn't autosave in jpeg, there should be a dropdown menu when you are prompted to save where you can change the file format.

    Thanks people!

Think I am actually getting there. Have had a play about in paint - cropped some stuff out.

Now just two quick things - Am I right in assuming JPEG and JPG are the same?

Second, when I open as a file from documents, everyhting seems normal sized - in paint its like super super super size me - about 600 zoom (and i cant lower it in settings)

  • Just checked and yes you can erase details in Paint, save as jpeg and then upload.

If your scanner isn't letting you save as jpeg, there is another route you could go down.
