advice on links for voucher codes

Hi, I have found an igadget that lists voucher codes. I want to tell about it but not sure if I can put a link to it or should I just say where it can be found?

I don't want any posts removed for spamming.

Thanks, Tracey. :j

the use of the gadget will overide any links you click through for cashback on Quidco/Topcashback etc so someone else earns via their affilliate code and you lose out

and looking at your posts you posted it before and it was deleted , so it's not allowed

  • Hi, so does that mean that if you follow the link in the gadget you will not get the discount? If not then why do the retailers allow this type of link?

Yes I did try to show where I found the codes but it was removed, but it's says I need to state where I found the codes, so I'm confused.

    Thanks, Tracey.

I did not delete the post , but there must have been a reason ...

the gadget code will overwrite the quidco one, as it pops up it will set an affilliate cookie for that site , stopping the cashback sites one being first

    1. Don't use voucher or other discount codes unless they came from the Quidco site.

    2. Doing so may cause the referral to come from the code issuer rather than Quidco.

  • Whats quidco? Do I need this to get the discounts? Why can't I just enter the code at the checkout and get the money off? Is the voucher code thing really this complicated?

Is this possibly why my previous post was removed?

    Thanks, Tracey.

yes, the offers on each cashback site are often unique , as are affilliate codes , which can be targetted at one aff network

use of the wrong code means that you fail to get cashback , but the site with the voucher does ( some cases it can mean you lose £100's which is gained by the affiliate ) , in this case the igadget site has a code for Goldsmiths of AWHW15 , which is from Affilliate window , and the link you click earns Mr Edwards the cashback and not you

I don't think that was the reason for the deletion of your previous post

  • HI, so if i'm not using this cashback thing the voucher code will still work and I will get the discount?

I've used the gadget twice now to save a total of £39, I will be very disapointed ifI the codes do not work.

    Thanks, Tracey.

but the cashback may be greater than the discount , and the code may be alllowed if it's on the cashback site anyway

I'm locking this thread as I've explained that the site is not meant to be posted ..
